Composer, songwriter, and music producer David Lawrie is the man behind Ishikawa. Originally from England, David studied his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Music Production (focusing on Studio-Based Composition) under acclaimed avant-gard composer, and fellow Ishikawa artist Dale Jonathan Perkins. David’s solo music has been used in film and television around the world.
LE NÉON NOIR
Le Néon Noir is the brainchild of Dani "Lacroix" McGlade, who wrote and performed in Leeds based band Rent, as well as being a bassist with Captain Wilberforce during the Ghost Written Confessions era. Le Néon Noir's self titled, debut EP was released in 2014. Due to unforeseen circumstances the project was forced into hiatus, but we are looking forward to a resurrection somewhere down the winding road.
DALE JONATHAN PERKINS
With his mind-bending manipulations of simple sounds, into intricate and bizarre sonic vistas, Dale Jonathan Perkins is an avante-gard force to be reckoned with. His music is rarely for those wishing to disconnect, but those who are ready to dive into other worldly electro-acoustic, and acousmatic stylings, Dale's music will not disappoint.
Dale was David Lawrie's master's degree mentor, and we are proud to have him in the Ishikawa family.
